Docetaxel is a very effective chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment of metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer. Epiphora (hyperlacrimation) has been shown to be most common eye condition in patients receiving docetaxel-based chemotherapy. This symptom does not decrease visual acuity, but decreases quality life. Daily activities (reading, working on computer, watching TV, and so on) are affected, with complaining about an alteration daily life appearance this symptom. The mechanism by which epiphora occurs considered canalicular stenosis, trials subject failed reach statistical significance. objective scoping review determine whether there regimen-dependent relationship between docetaxel administration presence women inclusion criteria were met 10 trials, from one was excluded owing data selection biases.
